8hours for the sake of IBEAM!

I'm at work on Friday. Again.
I've been making like tonnes of phone calls since morning to find the guy of my dream.Ok no.To find that (UK-Germany-Japan-Korea branded) I beam they're in urgent need of. The dateline is this Monday. We're all gonna be toast! So I make a few (about 30 to 50) phonecalls local, Singapore and Thailand as well.


Conversation with the Thailand Supplier, TG1 is Thailand Girl 1 and so on. ;


TG1: Sawadikap!

Me : Hello, I'm N from Malaysia and i like to purchase an I beam.
TG1 : Ka.

(What's Ka,maybe Yes in Thai i guess)
Me : Hello, I'm N (keep repeating to make sure she heard me) and do u speak english?
TG1 : Yes (a voice with a hesitation). Wait.


She put me on hold for a while and as expected, she transferred me to TG2.


TG2 : Sawadikap!
Me: Sawadikap! If i wanna purchase an I beam, whom should i speak to? Can i speak to someone from Sales Department?
TG2 : 'Sel?' 'Seling?' (whispers and ask someone around)
(I was giggling quietly at the other end trying to comprehend what she'll be asking next.)
Me: Is this the Sales department?
TG2: Yes.
Me: Okay. I would like to purchase an Ibeam (explaining the details)
TG2: What I-pim?
Me : I beam or H beam is one of the steel you're selling. You know the (blablabla)
TG2 : Ooooo...okay.Hold on. I pass you to 'sel'.
Me : Okay. Thanks.....
(I thought she was from sales)


Transferred me to the REAL sales department



Guy : Sawadikap!
Me : Sawadikap! I'm N and I would like to purchase an I-beam.
Guy : Sure sure. Does it have to be K*? May i know the required specification
Me : (Thanking God). Erm yeah and I'll send you an enquiry of it. May i know blablabla (workstuff)

Thank God the guy speaks Thailand-ese English.An understandable one.

English is important!


Went back home after spending 8 hours at the office forcing myself to work. It's nice coming home to a house smelt with the Italian cooking aroma.

They made Spagetti for Break Fast. We suddenly had the craving for Italian food.

Thanks to JuneBug (The Chef) and Evalve (Sous Chef). It was yummy.
