Miss Daisy's unplanned 26th Birthday celebration was awesome.
We went to Kuantan to break fast at Tanjung Lumpur Ikan Bakar.The seafood was scrumptious nobody even care to snap even a pic since everybody was starving to death.. Puasa kan?Then we went to Starbucks to redeem my Buy1FREE1 Starbucks voucher. Had Javachip Frappucino and Hazelnut Hot Chocolate. We also had Baskin Robbins together with the drinks. Too much in one go? So yeah... we're engineers, we eat a lot. (what an excuse)
Since It was just a few hours to Merdeka , we went to Teluk Chempedak just to check out the Merdeka scene celebration there. As expected, it was crowded and swarmed with humans of all races. It was quite dull at the very beginning since there was no countdown or some music performance - like we used to see in KL. It was just people leasuring aroung by the beach and waiting for the clock strikes 12. There were boys playing their skateboards and showing of their skills and people were gathering around to see.
But when midnight came, some bunch of 'dudes' happened to light up loads of fireworks near us. So we got to see fireworks above our heads! It was really really nice :) Then onwards, there was a cute parade just in front of our eyes. Since we were lingering by the road. First there was superbikers. Followed by vespa-ers, motorists and kids on bicycles. There were all carrying the Jalur Gemilang behind their vehicles. My handphone memory card was full so I didn't snap any pictures.sigh. *will steal pics from them though*
After all the food we ate, by that time we were already hungry again.
Went sahur at McD while watching a soccer game.
By the end of the day, it was tiring.
But we had a lot of fun celebrating Miss Daisy's birthday!
